Exposiotry writing assignment on Hemp.

Students are assigned to write an expository writing paper detailing the reasons that caused Hemp production to become illegal to grow in Kentucky and surrounding states. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/dope/etc/cron.html  Much of science concerns studying plants and animals to find new medicines or products with the objective to produce greater tax liberties and a better life.  http://www.ncsl.org/research/agriculture-and-rural-development/state-industrial-hemp-statutes.aspx#KY  Colorado has chosen to legalize Cannabis, thus creating a new biotechnology health sector.   Cannabis Science Inc. develops pharmaceutical products.  It is laying a solid foundation for entrance into the FDA and other government regulatory agencies for developing medicines for cancer, autism, influenza, and PTSD.  Cannabis Science was founded on February 29, 1996 and is headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO.  http://money.cnn.com/quote/profile/profile.html?symb=CBIS   The objective of this writing assignment is to examine the law concerning why the production of hemp was made illegal.  The writer needs to list five reasons why hemp production and Cannabis production are illegal in Kentucky and surrounding states.  CBIS is a small company with only eighty million dollars in capital, so to promote its current success as a reason to promote changing the law would produce Industrial_Hemp_Products.jpgdubious consequences.  http://www.uky.edu/Ag/CCD/introsheets/hemp.pdf
The objective of the writing assignment concerns educating the student about the current decisions being made, and then communicating that information to their audience.  The writer is not trying to convince the audience of being for or against Hemp production, since expository writing is explanatory. You select information from oral, written, or electronic text and organize it to show that you understand a concept. Expository writing is the type of writing you create for term papers, essays, or letters.  The main reason Hemp production became illegal was concern over misuse of Cannabis, and to promote that agenda would produce a persuasive writing paper and the student receiving a zero for the paper.  http://www.kentuckyhempgca.org/2013/04/kentucky-history/    Examine the information being written about Hemp, and explain why they are for or against production.  http://www.courier-journal.com/article/20131213/BUSINESS/312140049/Kentucky-likely-won-t-lead-nation-hemp,
